Join us at the Dude Ranch Museum to discover how this amazing industry got started in the late 1800’s. Discover the impact the industry had on shaping the Western Way of life and how dude ranchers were among the earliest conservationists. Dude ranches in the Jackson Hole area played a key role in establishing Grand Teton National Park.

Our Heritage Center is not only our “home” but the office for the Dude Ranchers Association. For visitors to Cody, the Heritage Center doors are open for the DRA to distribute brochures and information. Together this is an opportunity to educate and inform the traveling public of the availability, importance, and history of our industry. It is the only one of its kind and remains the central hub for a very important niche of the hospitality industry – dude ranching.
