Celebrating the Spirit of the American Cowgirl: National Day of the Cowgirl Scholarship

The Dude Ranch Foundation, in partnership with Durango® Boots, is thrilled to support the National Day of the Cowgirl Scholarship, an initiative launched in 2023 to empower women pursuing careers in the Western industry. This scholarship provides vital financial assistance to women as they work toward their degrees, preserving and celebrating the legacy of the cowgirl spirit.

Congratulations to Katelyn Collins – Our Inaugural Scholarship Recipient!

The first-ever recipient of the National Day of the Cowgirl Scholarship, Katelyn Collins, was awarded a $30,000 check at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. Katelyn, a student at Texas Tech University and a dedicated member of the Texas Tech Rodeo Team, also holds the title of 2024 Miss Rodeo Texas Teen. Raised in the heart of the Western lifestyle, she embodies the true spirit of a cowgirl through her passion for rodeo, ranching, and community involvement.

Durango® Boots is currently reviewing applications for the second annual National Day of the Cowgirl Scholarship, with the next winner set to be announced in September 2025.
