The Dude Ranch Foundation encourages you to share the following suggested bequest language with your professional advisor and to select the language that best suits your charitable intentions.

1. 1.A bequest of a specific amount

You can specify a dollar amount to be given to the Dude Ranch Foundation. Suggested language for making a gift of a specific amount is:

“I give and devise the sum of _____ dollars to the Dude Ranch Foundation, Inc., a non-profit Wyoming corporation located at 1122 12th Street Cody, Wyoming 82414, tax identification number 74-2519170, to be used for its general purposes.”

2. A bequest for a percentage of the remainder of your estate

Residuary bequests are used to give all or a portion of the rest, residue, and remainder of your estate after payment of expenses and any specific amounts designated to other beneficiaries. Gifts to the Dude Ranch Foundation using this approach also adjust with changes in the size of your estate. Suggested language for making a gift that is a percentage of your entire estate:

“I give and devise _____ percent (%) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate to the Dude Ranch Foundation, Inc., a non-profit Arizona corporation located at 1122 12th Street Cody, Wyoming 82414, tax identification number 74-2519170, to be used for its general purposes.”

3. A bequest for specific purposes

“I give and devise the sum of ____________ in cash (or _________ shares of ________ stock) to the, Inc. a non-profit Wyoming corporation located at 1122 12th Street Cody, Wyoming 82414 Cody, Wyoming 85743, tax identification number 74-2519170, to be used for ____________________________ at the Dude Ranch Foundation.

If circumstances in the future make it impractical to continue using the bequest for the purpose designated, then the Dude Ranch Foundation Board of Directors may re-designate the purpose for which the bequest may be distributed, provided that amended terms shall honor as closely as possible to my original intent.”
